Do not judge me by what you first see, Get to know me and see what i’m about.

We say never judge a book by it’s cover but we are so quick to judge a person by our first glance.

As a pastor I have been just as guilty as everyone else until God got ahold of me through a young mother in my church.

I was raise to judge by appearance and if they did not look the way the church I attended thought they should look they were bound for hell.

One Sunday after a service this young lady approached me and wanted to talk with  me and my wife in my office.

Because I preach pretty hard on sin and call sin  by it’s name, My first thought was what did I do or say know.

See this young lady has several piercing’s and tattoo’s and it seemed she spent her time at church playing with her little girl it did not appear that she was listening to the preaching.

When we gathered in my office and she began to speak to me and my wife I was floored. You see this young lady had been listening to every thing I had been preaching and God had been working on her.

This young lady did not want to complain about anything but instead wanted to know if she could be baptized instead.

We had a baptismal service a few weeks later and when it was all said and done we baptized 14 people .

So never judge a book by it’s cover nor a person by their appearance   because we can what is on the inside of either one until the cover is opened up and you see what’s on the inside.
